The Turfcutters is a proper pub. I was so pleased with myself to have found a decent pub smack in the middle of my bike route. Each time I have been there you cannot fault the service, staff or offering. Whether you fancy a pint, a light lunch or hearty meal, I cannot reccommend this place enough.
At the weekends the tables tend to be reserved, a great sign, but the staff have always found room to squeeze us in. This place has not been 'gastrofied'. There are no 'jus' or 'foams' that accompany the meals. Just well created, seasonal dishes served in a cracking pub atmosphere. Think sanded chunky table tops and a roaring fire.
The pub caters for locals, tourists and even cyclists in lycra. The game casserole and curry are worth the trip alone.
The regular beers are Ringwood with seasonla guests in the spring / summer.
