I stayed at the Premier Inn Southend Airport because it was the nearest to where I was working that week. My first visit to a premier Inn. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing, always pleasant and helpful - one very cold morning I arrived at the car park to find the staff had been up early and cleared all the windscreens! Food in the restaurant was good value and the service was good. Rooms were a bit dated but the hotel is currently being refurbished. The desk in the room was large enough to work at. My only complaint, common to a lot of hotels, is there was no way I could brighten the lighting when I needed to work. Are all Premier Inn such good value?

Have stayed here several times in order to visit family. Stayed on Saturday 11 Dec. 2011 with my husband, son,daughter in law and 3mnth old grandaughter. Staff were extremely helpful especially in the Strawberry Field table table restaurant next door. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was fresh and hot with first class service. Made to feel very welcome and even though it was busy with Christmas parties there was plenty of room for my grandaughters pram. Well done to everyone who served us this weekend and thankyou for a lovely weekend.

I've stayed in this hotel several times this year and I cannot fault it. Yes I know it is a budget hotel but I can't be bothered by all the luxury hotel flim flam like movies at £15 a go as i was recently offered in a well known chain beginning with M.

Premier Inn (and this applies to ALL premier Inns not just Southend) does what it says on the tin - easy check-in, friendly but not crawling staff, clean public areas, clean room and very importantly clean bathroom and in my opinion the most comfortable bed outside my bedroom at home (definitely the most comfortable bed in any hotel I have stayed)

The restaurant next door is good; all I want in the evening is a quick decent meal within my subsidence budget. They allow me to order starter, main and dessert from the main menu at the bar and tuck myself away by the fire in the bar which is ideal as I don't often want the fuss of eating in a dining room unless I am with colleagues.

In the mornings the breakfast cannot be beaten - all you can eat self service toast, cereals, tea, coffee etc with the hot breakfast served to the table. All good quality and well served.

Whenever I stay away I am disappointed if a Premier Inn is not available locally.

After an awful time with flights cancelled due to fog we were put up here for 2 nights. Staff were extremely helpful. Rooms are basic but clean and modern.
