This place is also used to house prisioners released and homeless and vunerable people from the local area, the food is crap egg beans and soggy toast, tea is like hot milk and you get sugar in it wether you like it or not, the staff are are horrible and hapless, the underneath the beds are filthy and thick dust, Theres no parking faciltes and the internet they advertise dont work. my advice is dont even think about staying in this place its hell, and you have to be in at 12 midnight or you dont get in in, so no booking for an after party sleepover.
Had to stay in this [--] hole for 4 weeks and hated every minite of it

we booked a double room but i think this was for a single occupancy, not room to swing a cat, no tea or coffee in room, breakfast was egg,beans, that it, not cheap at £42 had a good night out till we got back.

London on the Cheap

Admittedly, Barking is not Central London, but at only £25 per night for a single room, it’s well worth the short tube ride. In addition to which the hotel is situated directly across the road to the tube/ train station, making it literally only 30 minutes ride from down town London. Don’t get me wrong, luxury it’s not, and anyone looking for a leisure break should certainly look elsewhere, but for a business traveler on a budget, anyone relocating to London for work and in need of cheap temporary accommodation, or even backpackers, it’s ideal.

Contrary to what the name suggests, Barking Bed & Breakfast functions like a hotel, although breakfast is included. I travel a lot, and rarely have I come across such helpful and polite people as Mr. Ali, the owner and Mr. Pillie. . Be aware that there is only one shower and bathroom per floor, although I think that they do also have en-suite rooms, in addition to family rooms. That said, each room has a basin & running water, TV, fridge and coffee making machine and for £25, in London that’s amazing !!
