We stayed at Sherwood Guest House in Hastings only for one nigt, but it was excellent. End of July we were passing through Hastings on the way to Cornwall. So we did not book an accommodation before. By searching for a 'Bed & Breakfast' we came across the Sherwood Guest House.

It is a little bit out-of-town, but that was no problem because the center of Hastings was accessible on foot. When we stepped in first we were met with a warm reception from Jeanette. We’ve got a very quiet and clean family room which was nicely done up. Pricing was normaly, parking was allowed in front of the Guesthouse on roadside.

Next morning we started with a very delicious and hearty breakfast so that we could continue our journey without extra provisions. Thanks to Jim.

During that short stay we decided to come back to Sherwood Guest House if we spend our holidays in England again, but than for an extended period because we felt very well. Thank you much for the pleasant stay,

The Sherwood Guest House is nicely situated overlooking a green and the sea. It is clean and comfortable and the owners helpful and welcoming as other reviewers have mentioned. There is parking nearby and a friendly pub (The Bo-Peep) and Chinese restaurant nearby to get an evening meal. Our room was on the top floor - we were fine with stairs but if this would be a problem check which floor your room is on.
We stayed for one night and were happy with our choice. We especially enjoyed going for a walk along the seafront in the morning before leaving.

We had a lovely night stay. Jim and Jeanette were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless and breakfast was lovely.

Stayed here for one night with friends while attending an engagement party in Hastings. The location was great - right on the sea front, with plenty of free parking close by. We had a very clean and comfortable room on the top floor that had everything we needed. My friends and I all agreed the breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from (with vegetarian options if needed). As other people have mentioned, Jeanette and Jim were great hosts - very friendly and welcoming :). Thanks to them for making it an enjoyable stay - we will definitely be back!!
