There's a new manager here who finally seems to have it under control. The hotel is much more appealing now than it was before. Staff is friendlier, rooms are cleaner, food is edible, spa and pool are finally kept in working order. This is a great big change from the last visit I had to make to the area. I've stayed here a number of times over the last 3 years and they finally are off the "new manager" roller coaster.

I stayed her twice on business. Once in June 2011 and again in August. My June trip wasn't as bad as August.

June 2011 - got there around 530 and they gave me my room key. Room wasn't cleaned. Waited 15 mins before I got a new one. Room was clean but rather stained up carpets. Sheets were never changed nor was the comforter. Every day after I returned from work I would have to have them swipe my key cards again bc apparently the maids key kicks all card out of the system. Very inconvienent. Breakfast was something to be desired. Pool was chilly and fitness room had no ac. Checked out and their computers were down. Called 4 times after I got home to get a receipt. Asked for the manager who was NEVER on duty.

August 2011 - got there at the same time. Room was cleaned this time. Saturday morning got up and had no hot water. Called down to front desk and was asked when I was leaving. I said not til Tuesday. I was told that she wasn't worried about me just about the people leaving that day. Are you kidding me!!?? Sunday morning - no hot water yet again. Went to desk and complained and was told that their hot water tanks couldn't handle all the people. I laughed because in July the hotel was packed with people for a local baseball tourny. So they lied about that. Breakfast was again just so so. Staff is not friendly or helpful at all. I had to ask to have my room cleaned because from Wednesday to Sunday room wasn't touched. Shouldn't have to ask for my room to be cleaned. Pool and hot tub were mysteriously broken the whole time I was there too.

Overall - the place is terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Got there at 5:00 and was given a room. It had not been cleaned. Went back to the front desk and waited 15 minutes for a new room. Desk clerk didn't seem to know what she was doing. The second room was also dirty. Finally got a clean room the third try. Booked this hotel partially based on the fact that there was a pool and hot tub. Went to the pool area at about 8 pm. No lights were on, area was deserted. Pool was rather chilly and the hot tub had no water in it. Breakfast was ok. Nice, large area for breakfast, but only about a half dozen small tables. The rest of the area is taken up by a couch and chairs. Felt they should have more tables for eating. Luckily, a very nice person offered to share his table with my son and I. We will never stay here again.

Stayed here on the way back from Florida. Used a coupon for $59. location is very poor, not near restaurants or shopping, but convenient from highway 75.

Check in was very slow and we felt the staff did not know what to do. I tried to use the Internet from my cell phone from the lobby, which did not work.

The room was ok, on the whole, not well cleaned. The breakfast was nothing much, they had not even turned on all the lights overhead. The hot water for tea tasted of coffee.

But the deal breaker was the non-existing Internet. I called to complain three times in the evening, all without any success. I offered to help them fix it as I am a computer junkie. They said they had no idea where anything was.

The Internet worked for about five seconds at a time, then died. We tried it on multiple computers. The best they had to offer was for us to use their lobby computer. I need my computer for work and would not have stayed there if I knew theirs did not work,

The next morning at breakfast, I saw a fellow with his blackberry tethered to his laptop so that he could do his work. Not acceptable.

I wanted to stay at the Drury, but they were full and it was already late in the afternoon.
