This hotel was the WORST we have ever stayed in. We settled on a price on the phone and on arrival they tried to jack the price up on us even tho we had called them 15 minutes before we got there. The hallways were dirty and the morning we left there was food scattered in the hallway. Our room was a real trip- the smoke detector was hanging by a wire. I called about it and it was never fixed. As it was late we went to sleep and left for the day to see family. Coming back to the room late we found it hadn't been made up. I complained to the manager and she said we were supposed to tell them we wanted it cleaned up. I told them that we weren't told about this nor did we see it anywhere in writing. We were given towels and shampoo at that time.Also they outside had weeds 4 feet high around the whole building. We also found blood on the inside of the bedspread and on the nightstand between the beds, as well as cigarette ashes on the floor in a non-smoking room.
We took pictures of all the things that were wrong with the room and notified corporate about the motel. After explaining the situation to them they said well write us an e-mail and we will look into it. I'm not going to hold my breath. Also they do not accept pets. When I mentioned service dogs which are protected by federal law to come into motels they said they didn't care and that no dogs were allowed.

I booked this place for a weekend in Fairfield, Ohion. For some reason, prices were high in Fairfield ($130 a night for the Holiday Inn) so the $60 a night I saw in Orbitz looked pretty darn good. In my experience driving the highways and byways of the U.S., I have stayed in a lot of cheap hotels and motels, and I have stayed in some really bad places overseas. This place really is terrible. I would not recomend to anyone that they stay here. The hallways are dirty and look like they have not been vaccumed in quite some time. The room itself is clean(ish), although there are stains on the walls and discolorations on the furnature--from what looks like old cigarette burns. The room was non-smoking, and smelt less heavily of smoke than many "non-smoking" rooms I have stayed in, probably due to the newish carpet. The bathroom, while clean(ish), had some more or less permanent discolorations in the shower. The towels would not hold up to Motel 6 standards. At least they have wireless internet so that i can write this review while I am sitting in the room.
