I was recently able to send the night at the Country Inn and Suites in Elyria. The hotel is not difficult to find is located close to several restaurants. Check –in took place in a smooth manner. I travel alone on business and did not like my original room In that it had two beds and I prefer a King-size bed. Initially there was going to be an extra charge for a room with a King-size bed. However, since there hotel was at a low occupancy, the person working the front desk decided to allow me to have the room without any extra cost. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful with directions.
The hotel appears to have had no renovation in several years. Several stains were on the carpet and the curtains appeared direct. The air conditioner is an older floor model, which runs a little loud. The bed has an older mattress and three of the four pillows were made of foam rubber. However, one was a feather pillow. The room was fairly quiet and I was able to sleep well with any disruptions.
The bathroom was small, with an older shower head. The towels were worn and thin and the wash clothes where pretty rough. This would be good if you wanted a foliation, but not so good for simply taking a shower.
The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and assorted hot and cold cereal. The hotel is not particularly special, but nothing bad either. All in all, there is a limited of hotels to select from in Elyria and I suspect that this hotel is as good as any that is available. I will be back in May and I will probably stay here again.
