“Holy Smokes.....this place should be condemned....seriously”

I cannot even begin to explain how bad this place is. I needed a place to stay as I was driving through and it was just off the highway in Columbus, in downtown. I checked in and I asked about wifi and he said it was working. I then went back to the sprawling complex to the last building where my room was. It was obvious the place had long term residents and not the type I felt comfortable around. I got to my door and it literally almost fell apart because it was water logged. It was also obvious that someone busted the door in at some point. Then, I got in and shut the door and guess what......seriously, there was graffiti all over the back of the door ranging from gang insignia to people asking for a good time. The bed had a box spring that had no covering and the wifi didn't work. I used the wifi excuse to get the heck out of there. I am a world traveler and have dealt with some shady placed but this seriously rates up there in the top five of the worst hotels I have come across. Knight's Inn seriously needs to do some auditing of their franchises. May God help those who stay here.

Room Tip: Ummmmm......I think the review says enough. Don't do it. This was even worse than the hotel I re...

“Hope i didnt catch something”

My husband and i needed a place to stay on short notice for New years eve. First i had a coupon that stated i could use anyday w/o restrictions that was not honored. The shower was discusting filthy and unusuable. The carpets were stained, The dresser missing a drawer, Cable wasnt even good. The sionks and counters were also filthy. The only thing this place had going for it was a great heater. I dont understand how a place like this is aloowed to stay in business. My biggest regret is not checkin these reviews first since it seems everyone is disappointed in thier stay.

“Good for budget travelers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2011

My partner and I stayed here during a weekend convention we attended. For travelers on a budget, this place is a good choice. The room was just fine, no complaints whatsoever. There was a brand new microwave and refrigerator in the room, which was nice. The bathroom has some mold on it, so it's probably not a good idea to stay here if you have mold allergies, but its not too bad. (I'm a clean freak, and I was able to deal with the mold in the bathroom!) The front desk staff was incredibly friendly as well! There are a lot of restaurants nearby, which is fantastic, especially when breakfast at the convention center is so expensive! (McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Subway, Arby's, ect.) There's also a CVS pharmacy half a block away for those travelers who are sometimes forgetful! The hotel looks like it may be in a seedier side of town, but we had absolutely no problems whatsoever. I felt safe the whole time (although I don't recommend leaving your door unlocked!) Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. It fit our budget and expectations perfectly. We're planning on staying here for future conventions, mostly for budget reasons.

“Rough night”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

We had reservations for 4 nights, last night was our first night. When we went out to our vehicle this morning and we found it broken into, things were missing, and the glove box ransacked. (Interesting note: there was a dollar bill in the glove box but it was not taken.) We did a police report and the officer advised us that we were in a high crime area and advised us to find another hotel in a "better part of town."

Last evening our toilet was stopped up and the maintenance guy came right away to fix it. He stated that something was wrong with it but it was useable and he'd be back today to fix it. Due to the issues we had during our stay, they let us cancel the rest of our reservation and we were given a full refund. The hotel personel were very polite every time we came in contact with them.

“Still needs a lot of help!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

We booked the room for 2 nights, but ended up leaving after the first. Although there are a few remodeling improvements to the room over the past few years, like a new vanity and newer carpet, it still needs A LOT of help! Housekeeping was poor, and upon arrival found leftover hairs in the bathtub! Luckily was able to have a quiet evening and was able to sleep, but the mattress was less than desirable and the characters (aka. people) loitering the hotel were disturbing! If we had small children with us, I think we would have left immediately. At least we were able to help the homeless man that bummed change off of us when we first left the hotel office. :-)
