We usually try to book ahead when we travel, but we didn't know where we would be at the end of the day so we didn't have a chance to check the reviews on Trip Advisor for this motel. When we got into town, we checked the price at the Comfort Inn behind The Cracker Barrel. The price we more than we wanted to pay so we asked the waitstaff at The Cracker Barrel. One waitress recommended the Baymont. Just for the heck of it we also checked the Hampton. Their room rate was $165.00. NO THANK YOU. We drove to the Baymont. They had a room with a king-sized bed for half that. The clerk let my wife check the room and was as accommodating as she could be. She even called us 30 minutes later to see if everything was okay. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was soft and had four pillows. We didn't even have to use the pillows we travel with. The bathroom was on the small side, but the shower was excellent. We would stay here again and we will be looking for other Baymonts when we travel.

I stay in Cambridge at least three times a year while hiking in eastern ans southeastern Ohio. I have stayed at the Days Inn, the Super 8, and the Baymont. The Super 8 is the most basic, but I found it to be a good stay. The Days Inn is an old Holiday Inn I believe, and it is good hotel. The Baymont is on the other side of I-70 and seems a bit more remote if you're staying and want to do things in town, but it is across from a Super KMart and next to a Super WalMart. The room was nice, clean, comfortable, easy to get into and out of. My only problem was that the hotel was pretty much all rented out for one wedding, and that party didn't think much about how they were noisy and that their might be others in the hotel. But, I use to party too, so I put in my ear plugs, turned on the air, and slept well. I will be back to this hotel next week, and will see how it goes without a wedding group (hopefully).

Funny thing is, I've never had a bad stay in this town, so I'd go by price (or who I need guest points on) to any of the branded places, just recognizing that Baymont is usually a step up from a Days Inn, which is a step above a Super 8. But I'd be fine at any of them, or the Best Western or other places as well.

I'll try the pool this time, it looked good.

Two nights ago we stayed in a very nice motel for $15 less than we paid for last night's stay at this establishment. Among the shortfalls, our room at the Baymont was equipped wth a cheap pastic toilet seat, at least two light bulbs were burned out, the carpeting in front of the air conditioning unit was wet, and the security lock on the door was broken. There was trash outide the entrance door when we arrived, and it was still there when we left this morning. All of the above suggests a level of neglect that does not warrant the price we paid. Next time we come this way, we will choose another place to stay.

We recently stayed overnight at the Baymont Inn & Suites - and would definitely stay again.

Pros:
Comfy room, comfy bed.
Very clean.
Nice staff.
Beautiful indoor pool.

Cons:
No elevators - luggage must be carried upstairs.
