Alure was a great surprise and we enjoyed pretty much our stay there.
Currently there are only 2 rooms/vilas available what in my opinion is great… A third vila is being built and during the weekend we stayed there (02-04/Sept) we didn’t hear any noisy.
The room is cosy, modern look and you can basically find anything you need. It is important to remind that the vila is self-contained, so no room service every day (what I missed... as I like to be treated as a princess at least for some days a year, right?! LOL - but we were aware of this "feature", so no surprise on that matter!).
The continental breakfast was nice, but very basic: Milk, yogurt, bread, butter, apple juice and jams, kindly prepared in advance and given to you on your arrival.
Loved the jaccuzzi overlooking the stars and the l’occitane bath products. DVDs and CDs available in the room was also cool, we watched the documentary “Kangaroos, Faces in the Mob” which was a great way to understand how they behave and survive on the bush, as we have seen some kangaroos on our way to the Pyramid at Girraween National Park, the movie was superb.
My only complaints are regarding the lack of heating at the bathroom area (it really gets cold after a winter night at Granite Belt) and the entrance door, as it brings a lot of light early morning.
Beside that… everything was great and I would easily return.
Thumbs up for our host Marion! :)
Extra tips : most restaurants are “BYOW” (bring your own wine), try to have a dinner at Patty's on McGregor (simple ambience, free cork and Patty will treat you good! Ask for the books about “the meaning of names and birthdays” and you will enjoy even more your night ahahah…), Girraween National Park is a must and try to arrive early (so you may see kangaroos at the wild), Vincenzos at the Big Apple is a great place to buy cheeses and salamis for an in-house dinner and if you need fruit and vegetables for the week, don’t forget to go to The Summit Fruit (cheap and good quality).

Glad you enjoyed your stay! What a shame you didn't see the IXL tastic heat lamp. Each villa's bathroom has one to keep guests snugly warm.
Yes, the Faces in the Mob DVD is a classic! We discovered it years ago (ironically on Kangaroo Island) and just had to have it for the villas. Hmmm, our resident kangaroos must have been hiding! LOL
Thanks for mentioning Patty's on McGregor, Vincenzo's and The Summit Fruit shop. They are a big part of what makes the Granite Belt special!
Regards
Ruth and Marion
