My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon in Australia and of all the amazing places we stayed, Papillon is one of our fondest memories. We had an unbelieve trip, staying in some great places, but one of our only regrets is that we didn't give ourselves more time at Papillion. We could only stay 1 night and chose Papillon based on all the positive reviews we've seen. Well the reviews don't do it justice! Stephen and Maureen are wonderful hosts that clearly take a lot or pride in their business and it shows! The rooms are clean and very comfortable with so much attention to detail.
Papillon is not far from the main road and easy to find...but once you're there, you feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest and the only ones there.
Breakfast was incredible with a huge variety of very healthy dishes.
Being so far away in Canada, we don't know when we'll be back, but we know we will be back sometime!!

This was a great B&B situated in Mossman about 15mins from Port Douglas. The accomodation (a great example of a pole house!) was clean and tidy, with fresh towels each day - a pool to cool off after a long day visiting the many areas around this area... The hosts Maureen and Stephen were very helpful and offered their guidance willingly on what we could visit and see each day. The breakfast was tasty and delightfully presented. Highly recommended!..

Stayed for two nights and were made most welcome by Maureen and Stephen who were very helpful in suggesting sights to see. It's a great spot from which to enjoy the Mossman Gorge, Daintree and Port Douglass.

The room was attractively decorated and had a very comfortable bed which meant that I slept well (unusual for me when away from home). The deck overlooking the pool and the lush tropical garden was a most relaxing place to sit in the evenings. The breakfasts were delicious and a great start to the day.

It was a real pleasure to stay here in these attractive and restful surroundings.

We stumbled upon this place, and what a find! . . close by to the beautiful Mossman Gorge at the foot of the Daintree forest. We absoutely loved our stay at Papillon. Maureen and Steven were charming and obliging hosts and the gorgeous garden setting, with pool, so relaxing. The charm of this beautiful house, and the attention to detail paid to the tasteful decore and to the service made our stay an absolute treat.
