We had an amazing 5 night stay with Terry and Carl, nothing was too much trouble, and we were made to feel completely at home. The room was spacious and decorated superbly by Terry and her wonderful creative flair. Breakfast was varied, delicious and plentiful, and very flexible with regards to fitting into the times of any trips you may have organised. The house situated in beautiful gardens and close to Port Douglas is secluded enough to allow you to relax but close enough to the bars and restaurants in Port Douglas. If we ever get the chance to return we will definately be giving Terry and Carl a call. Thank you both for your hospitality, and have a great trip home Carl, enjoy the world cup!!!

This little B&B in Mossman is in a gorgeous location surrounded by lush mountains and sugar cane fields and it's only a short drive from Port Douglas. The rooms are spaceous, clean and have direct access outside. It has a beautiful pool area to relax in and the breakfast is superb, so much variety including fresh local fruits, jams, breads etc. We couldn't of asked for better service and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I booked a 4 night stay at Fantail based on the previous recommendations on this website and I can honestly say that I did not regret my decsision one little bit! This place is a gem. It's away from the crowds of Port Douglas, where the only noises you will hear are from the local animals, but it is close enough at just a 10 minute drive by car. You are also close by to Daintree and Mossman, and there are good links down to Cairns. Terri and Carl are great hosts and go out their way to tell you about the local area and make you feel welcome in their home. The breakfasts are delicious and filling - we loved the fruit salads and great freshly baked pastries. The rooms are clean and in good order, stocked with everything that you could possibly need.

My only regret really was that we couldn't stay longer! I will definitely be staying there again on my next Queensland holiday.

My husband and I recently had a wonderful 5 day stay at Fantail B & B. The accommodation was absolutely lovely. The scenery is lovely as was our room and all facilities. There are beautiful gardens surrounding a fabulous pool and a lake which attracts local birdlife and a stunning mountain backdrop. We were within easy reach of all the places of interest in the area, such as Mossman Gorge, Tablelands, Port Douglas, Daintre and Cape Tribulation.
We loved everything about our visit and would have been happy to stay longer just to have more time to spend simply relaxing at Fantail. Our hosts, Carl & Terry were so welcoming & friendly we can't wait to go back again.
