“fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

When we were walking up to the front door, Dot put her head and said "welcome, come in".
We have stayed at many B and Bs over the years, and it is always a bit daunting to walk up to the front door and meet your hosts. What a lovely way to start our stay there, we felt welcomed and any uneasiness vanished. We were absolutely delighted with the facilities, there is a great pool, bbq, billard table, dvds. Our bedroom was very pleasant, and the sheets just devine. The breaky was great, anything you wanted. We found Noel and Dot just the best host and hostess, we would recommend this B & B without hesitation.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms at this B & B are excellent

“What an accurate name!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

When we were looking at somewhere to stay in the vicinity of Mission Beach, this accommodation came up, and was surprisingly cheap. I couldn't believe it, so booked it immediately, and it didn't let us down.

It's a lovely house, with three or four guest rooms, and the hosts couldn't be any more welcoming. The facilities looked great, but we didn't have much chance to enjoy them as we arrived in time to go out for dinner, then had to leave after breakfast to continue our trip.

The rooms were all great and the breakfast had everything we wanted, cereal, fried, toast, juice and tea/coffee.

Would recommend this for a pleasant break, but may benefit from staying longer - one of the guests had been staying there a week to relax after a long drive round the bush, and they had no complaints even after being there so long!!

“This was the Best B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

We have stayed at many B & B's in West Aust and on our trip around Qld in Sept/Oct 2011 and this B & B is undoubtably the best we have ever experienced. The price was fantastic, the BBQ was great and the room was a real delight.
The location was excellent and you can easily walk to the beach or to Woolies passing many restaurants along the way.
Host Dot & Noel were wonderful and nothing was any trouble. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer. K & I recommend this B & B and give it a great 5 stars!!!.

“The Wicksteeds at Tropical Escapes B and B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

We liked this place from the word go! It's very clean and well set out in colonial style with spacious rooms and situated in a peaceful natural environment - near the beach (which is really nice), breakfast is first class and hosts Dot and Noel are charming - they enjoy their guests! We've stayed at lots of B and B around the world and this experience is one of the best. It makes the Rydges Resort at Port Douglas look like a 3 star hostel!

“Very hospitable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

We stayed here 2 nights in August. It was very clean, had a large bedroom and close to the beach. The hosts could not be more hospitable and were extremely helpful in recommending things to do and assisting with our BBQ one night. Would definitely recommend to others.
