“Good Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

We stayed here on our way back from Townsville to see how this area had recovered from Cyclone Yasi. They have done a great job. Our room was very large and clean and all you can expect from its star rating. Would be a good place for a family to stay with all the pools. The buffet dinner we had was well worth the money as was the room for $99.

“great value for money”

we were very happily surprised with this motel. We, a family with 3 young kids (1,3,6) decided to stay in de deluxe suite. this was a 2room appt. it included a kitchen. All looked very good an spacious, just new.

I read other comments about the place needing a renovation. well, maybe this section of the motel was just done.
It was 600m walk to beach.
Highlight of the stay was the buffetrestaurant. What can yo expect for a AUD 22 all you can eat place? Well, outstanding quality, absolutely stunning. Both nights we ate there, it was full with people.
Free internet at recepion.
Each block in the motel had its own pool, quite nice (lagoonstyle), although bit cold in July.
One negative remark. neighbours were loud, kept my wife out of her sleep in the 2nd night. (It was the night that Queensland beat NSW in the Origin game, probable related, haha. there was a crowd watching the game till late in the bar)

Before our arrival we intended to stay 1 night in Mission Beach before moving further north. But because we like this motelroom(/appt) & restaurant we stayed for a 2nd night.

“Classy room and resort”

King size bed...bliss..so nice that we are going to upgrade our queen-size bed. The room was spacious, bathroom very modern. Our room and balcony overlooked the pool and cabana area. For just $99 per night it's the best value I've found for a long time.

“Great hotel - would be alot better if modernised”

Stayed in this resort with husband, brother and parents. I think it was a great location, the rooms were a great size, really big and spacious and opened up to the pool area. The were clean and really comfortable. We all really enjoyed our time there. The pool area was nice but at night time there were no lights around the pool so we went for a swim at night in the dark, would had been soo much better if there were some lights.

“Very happy with our visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2011

We understand where some of these comments come from but fail to see why people seem to expect so much from a resort that is not advertised as anything more than what it is; a motel. If people are expecting a 5 star resort - go somewhere else. If you want a private experience - go somewhere else... Research your holidays, people! it's not hard.
A little clue to finding this hotel.... Read the directions on your booking form! There are huge signs and landmarks and it's hard to miss,
We found the room to be spacious and the bed comfortable, firm and clean. The room was also surprisingly cool in the hot autumn weather.
We found the staff to be knowlegable and friendly and were also pleasantly surprised at how friendly the guests were as well.
The main thing I'll say about Mission Beach in general is that the cyclone damage is all but completely repaired and we highly recommend visiting the area, not only for a good unwind but also to spend some of your hard earned money in a hard hit but still beautiful part of the world.
