We loved this place. Its a beautiful restored 'Queenslander' house on a big block with secure fencing for the kids and a great veranda all round. We could walk to town and the shops which was good for after dinner as we didnt have to drive anywhere. (Most of the other houses in town seemed to be out of town on farms so someone always has to drive!).
The furniture and all the fittings were really beautiful. Its tasteful which is a nice change from the usual self contained accommodation with plastic chairs! The lounge is plush, the dining table and benches are earthy solid timber. Mattresses are the other kicker...you can tell that they are top quality - we slept beautifully. The kitchen was big and spotless and the laundry had all new big capacity appliances.
The master bedroom is big and comfy, the other two bedrooms are small but they said (and showed) that on the website so there were no suprises. Still, the beds, mattresses and bedding were great! What these other bedrooms lack in size the overall property makes up for by far.
There's a great undercover deck at the back with a BBQ and outdoor setting. With that and the huge verandas it doesnt really matter what the weather is. You can be out of the sun or rain if you want, or, with a beautiflu huge lawn you can be amongst it!
We'd definitely recommend this place. We've stayed in heaps of houses around the country (and world) and this place is easily one of the nicest. It was a great find in country Queensland - go figure!
