I had high hopes for this Motel and was looking forward to staying here. The room was clean, but basic. I was interested in a room service meal, the in room compendium said that the Restaurant was open from 6-8pm. I rang to order a meal at 7:40pm to be told the Restaurant was closed. I was not offered an alternative, obviously I hadn't eaten, I'm not sure what I was supposed to do do, but apparantly not any of the reception staff's concern. If room service meals are only available for a small window of time, then this should be clear in the compendium. I found the rooms noisy, people congregate outside the rooms to converse, and also smoke, which manages to infiltrate the rooms in a disagreeable manner. Also a very noisy machine was operating from quite early in the morning. Also ordering a paper wtihout ordering breakfast seemed to be a foreign concept. I would be nice if country people offered some level of service to their customers. I would be very reluctant to stay again & will happily explore somewhere else to stay. A big shame

Myself and 2 colleagues stayed at this establishment for 2 nights. The rooms were clean enough, however the hotel is on the outskirts of town. On the first afternoon we were having a beer at the pub and some other workers that we met warned us of this hotel and their random charges that they tag on at their leisure. These gentlemen were charged an extra $30 cleaning charge because somebody left dirty boots outside their room. It turns out it was not even their boots! Alarm bells started ringing. On the second night when we returned to the hotel my colleagues and I were having a discussion outside my room about the next day when the owner came screaming out and started yelling at us about the noise so we carried on the conversation in the room before retiring for the night. The next day as I was leaving the room I was abused by the woman serving breakfasts about the noise on the previous night and some garbage outside my room that was not mine. I was then abused by the owner, again, and told I was not welcome back to this hotel. He also called my employer with a swag of false allegations of the previous nights activities.
Quite frankly, you could not pay me to go back there. I would prefer to sleep in a pile of manure.
