“Absolutely fantastic.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

We stayed at Red Rock as a treat for our 25th anniversary. The hosts were just great and made the stay a memorable one. The welcome with wine and cheese platter was awesome along with a fantastic sunset. The cabin was one of the cleanest places we've stayed and the surroundings made for a great time. If anyone was after a bit of time private away from it all, then this is the place to go without doubt.

“Escape for peace, fresh air, and relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2011

We spent 3 nights midweek at Red Rock. Our Hosts were away but left everything set up perfectly and it was peace we sought so this was actually a bonus for us as we both work pretty hard. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was those small touches that make the place outstanding. The great cleanliness was impressive, welcoming wine and cheese platter that lasts for three days, the fridge full of breakfast items, tomatoes, thick county bacon, a dozen eggs, yummy yoghurt, a loaf of bread, butter, salt, pepper, a selection of tea coffee, sugar, 2ltrs of milk all waiting for us. It was our anniversary so a lovely bunch of flowers was provided too with a card, a nice touch. A selection of CD's, some books were there. You can bring your own DVDs if movies are your thing. We enjoyed long evenings by the fire playing cards (we bought the cards) and just talking over a lovely bottle of Kingaroy Wine. The fire was a treat and the wood pile well stocked for our stay, it does get pretty cool at night but our cottage was plenty warm with the sun during the day and the fire at night. The bed and pillows were very comfortable indeed. We enjoyed sleeping in and used the BBQ for cooking our breakfasts each day and our dinner each night. Be warned! There is a very friendly possum family that come and visit you whilst cooking on the balcony at nights. Avoiding the temptation to feed them was hard, they are quite tame almost. The cows were our alarm clock on a couple of mornings, quite pretty. We wanted to visit the wineries in the area and spent a day exploring the town too. We visited Crane Wineries on the Hill, Captains Paddock, and Dusty Hill, all charming and spent more there than on our accommodation. Not forgetting a trip to the Peanut Van of course. We took a walk around the property and the views are stunning. There are only two cabins and they built with the privacy of each in mind, so you are not disturbed at all. It really is a place to go when everything has got too much and you just need to get away from it all.

“True serenity, glorious views, delightful hosts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2010

We stayed for four nights over Easter. When it comes to value for money this place leaves places like Montville & Maleny for dead! Wine and cheese platter on arrival, breakfast supplied each morning: so much we couldn't eat it all if we tried. Decor is designed to relax and with only two cottages privacy is guaranteed. Spa bath with views. The property also features a viewing platform where we took our own little picnic for lunch and just soaked in the sweeping views. Walk to local winery for lunch or coffee and close to many other wineries and a short drive to Bunya Mountains. BBQ in pristine condition which was handy as cooking facilities are limited to microwave and two hotplates however this did not dampen our cooking in the least. Hosts can't do enough to make your stay all you want it to be. Highly recommended.
