“Wonderful hosts - very pleasant stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Three of the four of us showed up unexpectedly sick at Cape Trib Farmstay and our dive plans had to be rearranged. The hosts were so kind and hospitable, it made all the difference in the world. The cottages are very comfy and cozy and well maintained. Wonderful location, great value. Highly recommend.

“Good rooms, poor breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

The location is good, the cabins are nicely situated in the orchard, although they are quite basic. The beds are very good. The fruits are all around the place. Despite all this the breakfast was a dissapointment for a B&B. We had to grab some stuff out of a very dirty fridge to prepare our own breakfast. It's not what you may expect from a B&B with the rates you have to pay per night.

“The Perfect Balance Between Nature and Comfort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

We wanted to experience a night in the rainforest, but camping, etc. was a little too close to nature for our liking--this place was the perfect middle ground! The cabins are all very comfortable and well-kept, with electricity and running water, including a full shower. You're surrounded by the rainforest, and we really enjoyed listening to all of the sounds of insects, birds, and other animals at night (through the safety of our screened-in windows, of course). The location is very good, being only about a 5-minute car ride from the Cape Tribulation beaches.

There are also several dining options nearby, as well as a shared kitchen in the main house. Breakfast is also served in the main house, and each guest gets their own basket of exotic fruits, grown right there on the farm. The basket contained a variety of fruits, however it would have been useful to know the names of what we were eating and the best way to eat it (cut it, peel it, just bite into it, etc.).

The owners were very nice--we spoke with Dawn when we arrived, and she gave us some very helpful tips about places to visit in the surrounding area. We were sad to leave after only one night--we could have easily spent a week here!

Room Tip: If you're looking for a true rainforest experience, the cabins are your best choice. Families wi...

“Amazing!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

This place is amazing! It's a family owed tropical fruit farm with little one bedroom/bath cabins nestled between the banana trees. They give you so much fruit for breakfast that my mother and I were able to eat it everyday for breakfast and lunch. I ate the best mango of my life there and when the rest of Australia was paying 9.99/kg for bananas due to crop damage we were getting 2-3 with our breakfast every morning. They help you book all of your tours through them which is nice since there is almost no cell service. If you are looking for a few days off the map then this is the place: solar power, no cell service, no Internet, walk to the beach every morning and just lay around. We loved it so much we spent an extra night there rather than go back to cairns. If you are going to the Daintree then bypass every other place and go straight here and then stay for 4-5 days.

“Awesome Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

We have booked this accomodation for only 2 nights after looking for something more individual and we have enjoyed every minute of it together with my 2 sisters and my 16 year old niece. We have booked two cabins for the 4 of us and were sitting together out the front veranda each night after dinner enjoying the tranquility of this place watching the stars and listening to the sounds of the jungle. The owners Dawn and Collin were very helpful in our every day organisation trying to see and explore as much as we can. The provided morning fruit basket was a feast for us with lots of different and exotic fruit. Besides the provided muesli it was a perfect start for the day. The kitchen was tidy and there were always Dawn or her husband around to help making coffee or answering questions or just having a chat. The cabins were very comfortable, the beds had very good mattresses.
We will definitely come back.
