We stayed here for one night during a short break on the peninsula and found the accommodation clean and comfortable. The rooms are nicely decorated in a modern style with plenty of space. Our ground floor room had a small outdoor setting and access directly to the pool area, which was both great for jumping into the pool on a hot day, and not so great due to the limited privacy.

The hotel didn't appear to full when we visited but I imagine when full this courtyard pool area could be rather noisy, I don't think it would bother families at all, but might be worth thinking about if traveling as a couple.

Food can charged to the room from the Rye Hotel next door which also has breakfast options. Although you are very close to a host of other options in Rye.

I rated 14 Nelson as average purely due to the price, I understand that it is very central in Rye, and is very close to the beach, but we stayed in what I consider to be better accommodation, much more service orientated, elsewhere during our time on the peninsula.

All in all, a good clean hotel in a central position, but an average experience at above average cost.

My husband and I went here for his birthday and spent 2 nights. We loved the location and the room. Everything was great until we got home and they sent us a bill for the "removal of items". Apparently we stole some cutlery, mind you everything we used we cleaned and put back where we got it from. but there wasnt even much there to begin with, i think there was 1 of each fork spoon and knife and maybe a teaspoon which we left there, they charged $20 to my husbands cc. And when i rang to ask about it they told me the manager wasnt there and they would get him to call back, i am still waiting to receive his call. So i because of this i would never go back, if this hadn't of happened we would have loved to go back as we enjoyed our stay and liked the pub next door and the surroundings.

Spent one night in this Best Western badged motel and was very pleased. We researched thoroughly before booking as we wanted a one nighter before catching the Sorento Ferry across to Bellarine for the Great Ocean Road. Checkin was very efficient and pleasant and our room was close by with easy parking. The room itself was very large for a motel and was well fitted throughout. It had a kitchen area and a nice sofa made if feel very cosy.The bathroom was modern and a of a good size. Patio doors led outside to a small pool and spa. Our sleep quality for the night was excellent.

We drove down to the Peninsula in the hope that we could stay the night due to bad weather, went in to best weatern on a whim and spoke with a pleasant lady at reception, we were lucky. Our room was fantastic, very clean and roomy, could walk out our sliding door overlooking the pool even though it was cold outside still used the spas which was very warm. We have rented houses in Rye area for many years, but was pleasantly surprised when we saw was was on offer at Best Weatern. Only one thing the lighting in bathroom could be a bit brighter. Kerry S.
