“Idyllic retreat, perfect for a short getaway”

Went here for a one-night midweek getaway, had a great stay.

There's no front desk as such, everything's organised by email so you really are quite secluded which is very nice, and the villa itself was very clean, modern and well-decorated, and has a private sauna and jacuzzi-bath. There are also some nice touches like 4 poster bed with drapes, CD/stereo and a log fire. Breakfast (eggs, jam, milk) is already in the fridge for you, and you can get some great breads from bakeries in the area.

As for downsides, well as it's secluded it does mean there's no one to call if you want more shower gel (we did) or something. Also, although it's only about 5 mins from Hepburn Springs in the car, you're best to arrive during the day as the road to the villa is unsealed and quite tricky. (Owner told me was going to be fixed though)

Otherwise highly recommended, and just that little bit different from the usual.
