My parents stayed here on two occasions during their visit to the Peak District. (As I dropped them off and picked them up I was able to see the property and meet the owner as well). They could not say enough about how great the guest house was. The owner Lynda made them feel very welcome and you could tell that she genuinely loves what she does. The breakfasts were amazing, with so much hot and cold food to choose from and the home baked cakes and tea to enjoy in the sitting room were a lovely touch. My parents stayed in different rooms each time and both were very well appointed, clean and comfortable.
They would highly recommend the cottage and will be staying their again on their next trip to the area.

My husband Nick and I have just had another 3 day stay at Birds Nest Cottage. Lynda always provides a warm welcome and the location itself is great for trips to see my family and for Nick to explore the Peak District. We are lready planning a return stay!

A very warm welcome and a most pleasant stay at the Birds Nest Cottage. Our gang (six friends) spent 3-4 days in the Peak District, and we couldn't have wished for a better time. The town of Glossop itself is certainly worth a visit, with a great local pub called 'the Globe' recommended in particular. We all gained a pound or two due to the excellent breakfast at the B&B (Full English or otherwise), and got rid of a few pounds - of a different kind - in the cities of York, Liverpool and Manchester, which are all within driving distance (an hour or two by car). Our stay at the Birds Nest Cottage and the wonderful hospitality of Lynda and Lee made this a holiday to remember. Thank you - and we are all looking forward to visiting again.
