“Comfortable B&B with good privacy”

I had 2 nights and had checked in advance that there was wifi access; this was good. I could have done with a chair in the bedroom (and a table in my case but I would not necessarily expect that, it's just that I had a lot of laptop work to do and I like to use a mouse, but I managed). Such friendly people I could not bring myself to say that the mushrooms were cremated on the first morning so I didn't have a cooked breakfast the next day.

“Great quality bed and breakfast, in a lovely spot”

This b&b is set in a beautiful area of Cheshire countryside. Some rooms are in the main farmhouse, but I stayed in the converted pig sty: these have been converted to a very high standard. The room is a good size, with a decent ensuite shower room, and it's all very comfortable and well executed.

Breakfast was excellent, and the family that run the farm are very friendly. There's also plenty of parking available.

For £30 a night, you can't go wrong!

  • Disliked — A bit hard to find!
  • Tips/Secrets — The White Horse pub, about 2 miles away in Barthomley, does some great beers
