Stayed at The Hunters Lodge one night while on a business trip to England. A very warm and friendly place. The room was typical English style and the bathroom was adequate. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Nobody would ever want to stay for pleasure in Crewe,so except the fact that this is a business hotel. The rooms are very small and certainly single occupancy means just that. However they are clean and adequate. Unfortunately the night I stayed they had a power cut just as 60 people sat down for dinner, so I never got to try the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK. The fact it came out in about one minute from ordering reflected on were it was being stored. The bacon and sausage were limp to say the least.
Would I stay there again? Probably not, because Crewe is such an awful place.

My room had a shower only but I was more than happy with this.
Breakfast was good and plentiful
The only thing which would stop me booking again was tha I found the bed was for me very uncomfortable and I think this was down to a poor quality mattress rather than one which was too firm.

We booked our civil partnership here, but we had to cancel 4 months before the date. We had paid the deposit of £500.00, we then paid an amount each month to spred the cost, which the staff said we could. When we told the venue that we were cancelling we had to fight to get our money back as the owner said that all the money that we had paid was the deposit, this was in excess of £4000.00, eventually he sent a cheque for less than £1500.00. The owner also said that he would refund the rest of the money if he got a booking for that date and he did however we never recieved the rest of the money. So beware if you book this venue only pay the minimum untill you have to pay the full amount.
