I have to say I usually dread this type of event as the food is normally served tepid by inexperienced staff and slowly. I was surprised at the quality of the food and the speed of service , which was done by obviously experienced staff. I am not sure it was the best value for money and the wine was way overpriced for what it was.
the main downside to the evening was 20 people crammed on to a table better suited to 16, I had to hang of the end of the table as there just wasn't enough room for everyone to sit with space enough to eat. I just ended up thinking this is all about greed cramming as many people as you can round the table, just because you can get 20 chairs to fit, it does not mean 20 people will be comfortable.
The noise from the disco increased about half way through the main course spoiling any chance of conversation with my fellow diners and the noise level had risen to unacceptable by coffee at which point my partner and I left.
In summary:- good food, table too small, too noisy
