After visiting St Anne's a few years ago, I was anxious to share that amazing experience with my daughters. We finally made that a reality this past week and spent 2 days at the Dorset Manor in Port Hope....There are not enough superlatives to describe this place....the accomodations are gorgeous, the food is to die for, the property spectacular in winter (and I would imagine in all seasons)....but the thing that none of us could get over was the amazing people who worked at Dorset Manor. From Johnna, the woman who greeted us (and also filled in as breakfast server in a pinch) to Katy, the evening server to the morning chef (whose name escapes me) to all the spa staff, everyone consistently displayed a true commitment to making things awesome for us. You can't train that in people...you have to hire the right folks..and it seems that Mr Corcoran can do that. Well done!

Great for a mid week or weekend break. Relaxing, great to stay at same place you spa, as you have somewhere to go for a relaxing read or nap. Close enough to town to walk or bike ride (provided on premises) Meals are delicious

My husband and I recently had an awesome experience at the Dorset Manor. I have had the pleasure of visiting the sister location before, St. Annes in Grafton, but the Dorset is that little bit more intimate and relaxing. The old home is beautiful and full of charm, the food is amazing and in great supply, the treatments were the best I have had, the staff could not do enough for you and made you feel like you were right at home, without doing any of the work. Normally to relax during a vacation it can take 2 to 3 days for myself. At the Dorset, upon arrival you can feel the tension fade away immediately. The value for what you pay, is worth every penny. If you are looking for the spa experience, this is the place. A few friends have noted that their spouses were not "spa people" but I can not imagine who would not enjoy an intimate, quite time with the one you love and enough food to feed an elephant!!
