We have made our yearly Thanksgiving trip to Ingersoll for the past 14 years and stay at this hotel. Over the years the ownership has changed hands several times but when you go to Ingersoll and want to be close to a family event this is the ideal place to stay. The area around the hotel offers a new A&W, Tim's right next door and Hwy. 401 is at your doorstep. So, ideal for travelers. This visit was exciting since I had not seen my family in a group since last Thanksgiving & with over 50 family members in attendance (and many staying at the hotel) we were very excited to get together at my sister's. Arriving at the hotel was a disaster, the front clerk never attempted to greet us at all, she said that we did not have a reservation and even when I produced out confirmation from "choice hotels" she claimed it was not a confirmation. She asked if I booked this online through another online service. Telling her no I had booked it through their services, she indicated that if I wanted to book now I could do so that they had rooms available. With doing so, she did not at any time inform me of any of the services of the hotel, (parking, pool, breakfast) just total silence. She never once smiled, or made small talk. I found the staff in the hotel (other then the Manager) to be distant. Polite gestures were not given to guests at any time. The breakfast in the hotel was very good compared to most highway facilities.
We did stay at the hotel and I did inform the manager and she was very receptive to our issue & indicated that the staff might have had a "bad day" & that this was not her normal behaviour. I would suggest if you need to stay here call the hotel directly to book so you don't run into the same issues.

We stayed at this hotel, due to the passing of a dear friend. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. I didn"t know how to work the AC when I got back to the hotel, and a friendly face was there immediately to help me, even a friendly face was there the second time I called as I had messed up the AC again. From first arriving at the front desk to leaving, the staff treated us like friends. My room had patio doors, which was great and convenient. The hotel is located right off the Highway at the exit to Ingersoll, yet was convenient to everything. Also breakfast was included in the price of the room, which was very reasonable.

This was my second visit to this hotel in Ingersoll, Ontario. I have family living there and my last stay was for a funeral. The staff of the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful and compassionate. The rooms were clean and the Wi-Fi appreciated. Would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend to other people. Thank you.
