Upon arriving at Wickwire House, we immediately noticed the well-manicured lawns, well maintained home, and beautiful baskets of hanging flowers on the front veranda. We entered and were warmly greeted by Ghislaine, who gave us a tour of the house and showed us our room. Our room, which was huge, contained a king sized brass bed, and was well decorated with antique furniture and accessories. The room is equipped with a coffee maker and small T.V., and robes are provided. The entire home is decorated with antiques and interesting items, all of which you are welcome to view and/or use. It was a lovely evening when we were there, so my husband and I sat outside in the gazebo and enjoyed our surroundings. After a restful sleep, we were served a lovely breakfast in the dining room. We felt very comfortable at the Wickwire. The hosts are welcoming, the home is superbly maintained, and the location is perfect.

Great food. Lovely romantic, clean rooms. Cozy robes for lounging. A storytelling host and perfect location. Hope to come back.

Sometimes you find a gem. Here on top of a lovely hill with the view of fields at breakfast- a first class breakfast, to rival many restaurants. This spot sure has History and treasures and very friendly hosts. A few good stories and a very welcoming gazebo for socializing in the evening. It is close to many adventure sites- and is worth another visit. Thanks so much.

The dead plants on the front porch are a warning for what's to come. The host while genial was overly effusive. The rooms were spacious but dusty, musty smelling with worn, mismatched linens. The slippers for guest use were dirty; the robes were from goodwill. There's stuff everywhere!
The breakfast was of extremely poor quality; everything was overcooked and left to sit.
