“Beautifully appointed apartments in heart of the resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

The Delta Residences are the self contained apartments connected to the Delta Sun Peaks Resort. Being apartments, you get plenty of room and a fully functioning and well equipped kitchen if you don't feel like going out.

Rooms are quiet and have everything you need. It is also great to have the services of the Delta Resort staff. Nothing is too much of a bother for these fabulous people and they bend over backwards to help you.

Whilst there, our best and most tastiest meal was at Servus, and the Chopstixx restaurant was also good.

Sunpeaks is a really cute resort and staying at a place like The Residences only maximises the enjoyment. If you come in early you can kick back with a drink and watch others skiing up and down the hills!

Oh I forgot, you must try the cinnamon buns. The best were at the Umbrella Cafe at the foot of Mt Morrissey. Enjoy!

“Very nice apartments in a great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

We spent 2 weeks at the Delta Residences and found them very comfortable, reasonably spacious and very clean. Initially, we were allocated a 2 bedroom unit which was quite cramped for a family of 4 and requested to be moved to a larger 2 bedroom unit. Note that rooms 1313 and 1413 are significantly smaller than most other 2 bedroom units. There does seem to be a bit of a problem with noise transmission from the units above with some loud stomping and banging noises at times. The only other negative is that the ski valet is in the main hotel which is a fair walk. Room service and Mantles restaurant at the Delta Hotel were also very good. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

“Has potential but poorly managed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2011

We are a family of 5 with three teenage childrren and we have just returned from a 7 night stay in Sun Peaks Delta Resigences. The snow was excelent, the facilities and location of the accommodation was very good but unfortunately the experience was spoiled by poor servicing of the apartment. The rooms were not cleaned daily and consumables like rubbish bags, coffee, filters, tea towels etc were not always refreshed. We did get the impression the lovely facilities were perhaps there to be seen and not used.

The hotel was very quiet and lacked atmosphere..

“Fantastic stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2010

Stayed at the Residence for 10 nights in February. As a family of five, we occupied a 2 bed apartment and were delighted with everything. Beds were incredibly comfortable, rooms were immaculate and kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal. Washer/dryer was an added bonus and balcony looked out over main village street and Morrisey Mountain. Residence has its own hot tubs, which we used a few times but most evenings we used the main hotel pool/hot tubs, which you can access internally through a series of corridors. We used the ski valet at main hotel and enjoyed a meal at Mantles restaurant during our stay. You do have to use room key in the elevators to access accommodation levels in the Delta Hotel/Residence which is an added security measure and didn't inconvenience us at all.

The Residence enjoys all the services and facilities of the hotel including room service and a daily maid service. For our family it was perfect, enabling us to enjoy the benefits of a hotel with the space and luxury of an apartment. You can ski right back to the door of the Residence and be at the lifts within a minute or two which makes the location perfect for a ski trip.

Can't wait to return next year.

“Great slopeside accomodations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2009

We just got back from 8 days at the Delta Residences in Sun Peaks. We really enjoyed the hotel. But like any hotel, it has a few drawbacks, nothing major and we would return in a heartbeat. It is attached to the Delta hotel, but is only 7 months old so is in really great shape. We had a one bedroom suite. It has a full kitchen complete with granite counters and stainless appliances. The bed was super comfy and there is even in suite laundry. It was not noisy. There are 2 hot tubs accessible only to residence guest. They are a pet friendly hotel.
They have a ski valet, but only skiis, not poles, boots or helmets. Its a bit of a walk over there from the residences. The valet will also not return your skiis to your room at the end of your stay. You have to retrieve them from the lobby of the Delta Hotel.
The room keys are a bit of an issue because you need them to use the elevator, If your key doesn't work, you have to go outside to get to the Delta to fix the key. There is no service person at the front desk of the Residences. There is also no phone in the lobby to alert anyone there is a problem. You cannot get back to your room to use the phone.
We ate in the restaurant 3 times as it had the best food in the resort. It was pricey, but good. Sun Peaks has a very small village compared to larger ski areas we have been to such as Vail or Whistler. We did a fair bit of cooking as a result of the limited dining choices. Keep in mind there is only one grocery store so if you can, stop in Kamloops or Kelowna(whichever you fly to) and get your groceries there as the shop in the VIllage is pricey. The pizza place is great , but again, only game in town, so 2 medium pizzas (one just cheese) over $40. We made lunches and carried them up in a back pack and left the pack at the top of the lift. There is only one on mountain restaurant.
The skiing was excellent and there were few if any lines. The terrain is vast and picturesque. The mountain hosts were great at showing us around the 3 peaks in the ski area. I will say that I was not impressed by the lift operators. There was tons of garbage around their areas all day long. They also were not that attentive with respect to small kids getting on/off the lift. We were able to ski with Nancy Greene and that was a real thrill for the kids.
Back to the hotel. The gym is in the Delta and is fine. Also there is a pool and 3 more hot tubs in the Delta that residence guests can use. The front desk staff were very friendly. Check in was a bit of an issue with respect to the bell desk. There was nobody there @4 when I checked in. I had to unload and put my bags on the cart myself.
We really liked the set up of the residences and would not hesitate to recommend it or to return.
