This was our second stay at the lodge and it was as enjoyable as our first visit - a great way to spend New Year's Eve!. Excellent room with lovely decor, cozy, comfortable and really enjoyed the fireplace. The atmosphere is relaxing, and appreciate the quiet surroundings, it makes you slow down and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. We recommend to anyone looking to spend some quality time together and to enjoy the peacefulness. We enjoyed an excellent New Year's Eve dinner in the restaurant and the breakfasts are always very tasty!

Great location by the river (creek), outstanding service, good food... one of the best places for relaxation and quality amenities. Close enough to Rocky Mountain House for groceries etc. but far from anything distracting or busy. If you have the time for a day trip, I recommend heading up to Ram River Falls - good chance of seeing mountain goats!

We wanted an escape from the City - and the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside of Central Alberta - so we booked a weekend at this lovely property. We stayed in a self contained cabin that was perfect for my husband, our 6 yo. and his grandma. The cabin is absolutely lovely. The hosts Terri and Larry have exceptional attention to detail and lovely decorating sense. It is hard to call this a "cabin" because it felt so luxurious!

The property is very secluded and has a picture perfect setting. We discovered an outdoor fire pit with a little path along the Creek to throw rocks in. I found one of my new favourite places to relax on a wooden swing built for 2 over looking the creek.

Back at the cabin we settled in to the cool autumn evening by building a fire in our fireplace and played games in the cozy living room.

The beds were very comfortable and we had a great night sleep after enjoying all the country air. The next morning a delicious breakfast was served in the restaurant.

Before leaving we booked the same cabin again next year! Don't miss this gem of a destination.

On its website, this property is described as a special luxurious bed & breakfast for a romantic getaway, and that is exactly what it is. It is also a charming (after all, it is part of the “Charming Inns of Alberta” chain!), quaint, cosy, intimate hideaway. The atmosphere was relaxed, rooms beautiful and elegant (fireplace included!), the bed very comfortable (with feather duvets), the hosts friendly. The Prairie Creek is just a few yards away. A nice touch is the wooden swing by the water where you can totally unwind and forget about the outside world. An armoire of DVDs is available for the guests’ viewing pleasure at no extra charge. There are snacks in the reception area, and there is also a restaurant on-site. We had dinner there; though the food was generally good, the fish seemed a little dull and could have used some more sauce. The breakfast was very good and quite special: coffee and juice, yogurt-covered fresh fruits followed by back bacon and a quiche-style omelette with hash browns.

We had to leave this charming country getaway but hope to be back one day.
