Stayed here for 11 nights.

The holiday got off to a bad start- when we went to check in we was told the hotel was full and they would be moving us to the sister hotel for 1 night. Although we were disappointed this happened it didn't come as a shock as a previous post mentioned it happen to them. We had booked our flights and accommodation independently and I don't think you would have this problem if booked through a tour operator. The sister hotel is still in a good location but far inferior and we was glad to get back to the Glarus the next day. We were compensated with a bottle of wine and free dinner that evening even though we didn't kick up a fuss or asked to be compensated.

We were given a room overlooking the pool and beach which was gorgeous. The room itself was cleaned everyday and on the large size. The shower did leak like previous reviews have said but with a towel blocking the corner of the shower unit this put a stop to it. There is loud music from the bars by the beach until 3 or 4 in the morning which you can hear in the rooms but they didn't keep us up and you kind of get used to it.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Lots of bars and restaurants all the way up to central sunny beach which takes about 10 minutes to walk to.

The pool area is large and the pool HUGE but very cold. We got beds everyday even though some days we didn't get to pool till 10am.

Breakfast was orientated to the Europeans at the hotel of which I would say the majority were German. Still managed to find something to eat over breakfast everyday.

We hired a pushbike and biked it to Nessbar. Took our time there and it took about 1hr. We spent time around Nessbar and it took us 30 minutes to bike it back.

Overall the hotel was good and I would have given it a 5 if it wasn't for the issue on the first night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends.

Perfect location in the heart of Sunny Beach!!! 5 steps and u are on the beach!

Big pool, a good restaurant and the rooms are big and clean. Next time I will ask for sea view, but I think thats a little more expensive sertanly if u have a room on the top floor like we did, but there was a common balcony with sea view for everybody who wanted a look from the top floor!

Sunny Beach is a noisy place at night, when our balcony door was locked at night it was pefectly quit and we slept very good.

The only negative thing, the reseption workers can be a bit grumpy, but i recon they just sick of all the tourists..

Soo happy with this place, will definitly stay here again and recomand this to everybody looking for a good budget hotel in the centrum of Sunny Beach.

This is a 3 star hotel and if it had entertainment on site it would be upgraded. But you are surrounded by bars, restaurants, live entertainment, little shops etc, so I am very satisfied with all that it offers. We were on the ground floor and I can't deny the walls are a bit thin, but we were on holiday just like the other guests and the noise through the walls was tollerable. People who complain should pay the extra and go to a more expensive hotel with thick walls, what they expect for their money is unrealistic. It was a cheap holiday and worth every penny. My one gripe was a fixed price to extend our room stay. You have to be out by 12 noon and although it is end of season and there were plenty of vacant rooms, we were expected to pay £17:50 for a few extra hours. It would be better if they charged by the hour then you wouldn't have to wear your travel clothes and hang around in the sun for hours. Next, the food. One review I read complained about the same menu every day. Well that is correct for the breakfast, but there is so much variety that you could eat different each day.
Value for money would be hard to beat.

Just got back from 10 days at Glarus Hotel.

The hotel was nice, room was good size and clean had view over pool we were in the lower side block. Found walls were abit thin between rooms and could here the couple next door snoring every night and their alarm going off in the morning. Pool was biggest I have seen and very cold, we got sunbed every day but they could have done with more, can imagined it being a pain in high season, did notice if you were any later then 10am they were all gone or reserved.

Lots of good bars, restrurants and shops near to the hotel and nice distance from the main centre, nice walk along promanade into centre, also the little road train runs pass reception to centre used that a few times

Food for breakfast was ok managed to find something every morning nothing special.

Thanks to lee20010 for advice and enjoyed a good night in the Fat Cat opposite hotel.
