Funny enough the last review is fairly accurate, however I have stayed in worse in sunny beach a resort which I love. As such I am probably less fussy. The hotel is in fact Junona. I have just returned from two week stay at three star wing.

Pros. Friendly, quiet, clean, central, good for a place to lay your head.

Towels are changed on request by leaving on floor as stated on a card in the bathroom. After tipping maid 10 lev they started to get changed everyday.

Cons. If you want pool - none but you can use Jupiter next door. I used black sea cause it was on the beach and 5 mins away LOL.

Bar is in restaurant which is not user friendly. I didn't enjoy breakfast so ate out (upgrade to breakfast was only £1.28 per day). I'm sure some Europeans loved it. Used Jupiter steak house 2 minutes away (not hotel).

Bottom line I was satisfied 100%

We didnt pay a great deal for this B&B, just under£900 but I would have preferred to have paid a bit more for better quality. Its very dated with dirty carpets along the hallways and also in the rooms. They never once cleaned the balconey or hoovered the room. Room was basic with very hard bed and a small fridge was provided. Air conditioning is terrible. We arrived at 2am at the hotel with an outside temperature of 26o. They didnt prepare the room so it was boling hot. We couldnt feel any cold air coming from the aircon unit so I asked at reception. Someone came along and fiddled with it, said it was working but dont touch the thermostat as its not working. We spent every night feeling too hot and sticky and only advice we were given was to open the balconey doors ( and be bit to death by mosquitos !!!) The property also has 3 levels, but no lift which caused me major problems.
They didnt clean the room at all 2 days on the run and we had to ask for clean towels. The restaurant is a wooden shack added to the property and the food quality (breakfast) is abysmal although plentiful.We ate at the front in the bistro, having to pay, for a sold called english breakfast with poached eggs. Eggs were smimming in oil and I left most of it.
We never checked properly when I booked it, which is my fault, but there is not a pool at the Yunona and you can use one of the adjacent hotels for 5 levs each per day which would total 140 levs, around £70. The entertainment at night was in the bistro and was exactly the same karaoke every single night by the same two people, singing the same songs. Sorry but wouldn't reccommend this to anyone.

Ive stayed in hotel Yunona from 20.08.10 to 02.09.10
When I just got in, i thought it was fantastic for the price I paid...but....the next day my holiday was destroyed!!
I left the hotel on 22.09. at 10pm to get a dinner (left my key on reception) when i came back 20 min later, my door was opened, my window was broken... my laptop, camera, phone etc has gone!!!
The police was called from Royal Beach barcelo hotel, which is in front....as the receptionist from yunona refused to do that!!!!
The hotel manager said its only my fault......as i was always drunk and always had men in my room ( I came to Bulgaria to buy an apartments, not to be drunk)
My laptop, web cam, camera.....wasnt enough! My second camera , I bought after few days was gone right befor I left hotel on 02.10.10
Id advise to everyone to choose hotels with security and look after your personal belongings, as it seems like staff in bulgaria dont have paid enough money.....
Ps: u shouldnt wear any golden neckless when going out, as there is at least 10 ppl in police everyday reporting they have been robbed
