We just returned from a stay at this wonderful B&B. It exceeded our expectations on every level. We had the French Suite and I really did feel like I was sleeping in Provence. The room was large with a huge, beautiful bath & claw foot tub and vanity. The bed was comfy and it was nice and cool on a very hot day. The room had a fridge which the owner stocked with coke, water and beer! We also had this lovely sitting room with fire place and down sofa to ourselves. The pouch was beautiful & had a comfy couch and fan. I sat out there and enjoyed some tea and watched the neighborhood go by. In the morning, Janice (the owner) brought breakfast to our room on a tray. Parking was free and easy and we walked to several good restaurants. The location of this place perfect for visiting Wilmington. We like Elijah Restaurant for crab cakes---nice view directly on the river. We had dinner at Deluxe. A foodie destination with a nice menu and wine list but I must warn that is was noisy. We could even walk to Kilwins for really great ice cream. It took us about 15 minutes to drive to The Point at the end of Wrightsville Beach for a day of reading and swimming. It was a walk from the car to the water but it is a peaceful calm beach. We packed lunch and drinks in our own cooler and Janice gave us ice. Can't wait go back from another heavenly short get-away.

I just completed a 2 night stay at the French House B&B. Janice is the best. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my time in Wilmington. The B&B is located in the historic district and is within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. Parked my car when I arrived and didn't move it until I was ready to leave. The suite is lovely - large and spacious with plenty of amenities.

Highest recommendation. We stayed for two night at the French house and could not be more pleased with the rooms, the breakfast and the hospitality . It was great. The location is ideal for walking around the old town of Wilmington and is located near to many interesting and historic sites.

Wonderful Southern Hospitality.
