I stayed here last year when I moved to the area. We arrived with our moving truck, 16 month old daughter, and 2 unhappy cats at midnight during a snowstorm. We planned to stay only one night and get up early to move into our new house, but the weather had other plans...we were snowed into the Sylva Inn for 4 days...with a toddler...and 2 freaked out cats! The staff was so nice and accommodating! They gave us a great rate and even let us check out a little late. They let us leave our huge moving truck with our car attached in their parking lot for days (not that we had a choice--it was stuck!) and they let my kid run all over the first floor. They were considerate enough to leave neighboring rooms empty (probably more to the benefit of others, since my kid woke up crying several times!)
Our room was older, but very clean and didn't have any odors or bugs. I have allergies and was very sensitive to smells when I was nursing my daughter, and I noticed no offensive odors. The breakfast was ok, and the lady putting food out was very pleasant and always kept things stocked up. I would stay here again, and I have recommended it to my visitors this past year. (ps I did not travel in March, but December of '10, which was not an option to select.)
