We just returned from Galvladi and it is probably the most secluded elegant lodge we have stayed. Galvladi is tastefully decorated, extremely clean, and well planned lodge. Absolutely beautiful accommodations! The property it is on is extensive, so we were never bothered by traffic sounds like in so many luxurious b&bs. This is a place to come and stay because you will want to do just that when you see this place. 3 gourmet meals for 2 are included per day, so it is very reasonably priced considering all the amenities. It is perfect for a romantic getaway or hikers since it has its owns hiking trails. Dave is the ultimate host, so personable and informative; and Terry is absolutely the best gourmet chef with the healthiest meals. We were blown away about how wonderful this place is!!!!!

My husband I were tired of this summer's brutal heat so we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the cool mountains. Little did we know what we were in for! We had a beautiful time!!! Everything we experienced was refreshing. Galvladi Mountain Inn by far exceeded our expectations. Let me start out with describing the Inn itself . . .enchanting. . .CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. . .palace like. . .large beautiful rooms. We really liked hiking the trails in the Smoky mountains and the Blue Ridge parkway. The fitness center is nice because if the weather is bad and you can't hike, you can run on the treadmill. The hospitality of the innkeepers made the visit extra special as well. The meals we were served were EXQUISITE. . .5 stars. The meals were healthy, delicious, and fresh. Our bodies, minds, and souls were restored after a long weekend at Galvladi. I highly recommend this Inn and I plan on spending every anniversary at Galvladi.

My husband and I spent a most romantic weekend at the Galvladi Mountain Inn. First, it is a spectacularly beautiful Inn in the western North Carolina moutains. The inn is a new log Inn with all the best amenities and, food to "die" for. Our room had a spectacular view of several mountain peaks (the Cherokee Room), a rock water fall bath tub and the best amenities you could ask for. The Innkeepers were wonderful people -- Terry and Dave. Terry is the chef and her food is the best , healthy, an assortment -- and, plenty of it. They fed us morning, noon and night. No doubt I gained a good 5 lbs. during our stay! her cookies are awesome. Dave is the tour guide, hike leader, etc. and he is a terrific guy.

I can't wait for an occasion to return to the Galvladi Mountain Inn. Our anniversary is in a few months and hopefully, my husband will surprise me with a return visit.

There is not another place quite as beautiful as this one. The Innkeepers say the name of the Inn is Cherokee for "heaven" and our stay there was every bit a piece of it.
