“Fabulous B&B”

We arrived on a hot summers afternoon & stepped into a lovely B&B that was most inviting.
We requested a room with a spa which was nice & spacious The complimentary bottle of bubbly was a hit. It is the little 'things' that made everything special, such as the candles in the bathroom & the CD player at the 'ready' with some relaxing music. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to us & freshly boiled eggs from the chooks that roamed freely in the spacious backyard were delish. .
It is situated close to the centre of town (walking distance, if it's not too hot). A great place to stay - you wont be disappointed.

Room Tip: You wont be sorry you chose this own - it's a gem!

We recently stayed for a weekend away from Perth and this was the perfect retreat. Lovely and welcoming with great food.

“You must stay here!”

Jan 2012. My husband and I stayed one night, and it was a very good choice. This is a charming place. We were made to feel welcome straight away, and offered afternoon tea. Our room was lovely and a spacious bathroom. Leanne offered to drive us the short distance to the main street, for dinner, and bring us back later if we wanted to have a few drinks. It is a comfortable, cosy place. We told Leanne it was our wedding anniversary and she put a bottle of bubbly in our room. The continental breakfast is superb, everything you could want. We had fresh fruit salad, waffles, muffins, a variety of cereals, yoghurt and every type of tea. My husband had the cooked breakfast, and this was excellent. Eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms. Nothing is too much trouble for Leanne. I am so glad we stayed here. Highly recommend.

“Joan and Jim: A real find”

We were incredibly impressed when we biked to our accommodation booked online. Our welcome, the service overall and our room were all wonderful. Having ridden quite as few kilometres, we were very pleased to relax in our large room on the very comfortable couch watching in-house DVDs ( of which there was a large collection), snacking on the delicious afternoon tea set out for all the guests and drinking an excellent choice of teas! The pre dinner sherry was a very nice touch and the post dinner port a lovely way to end the day.
The continental breakfast the next morning was fresh, varied and delicious with quite a lot of home cooked touches that has made this accommodation really stand out in our minds. We are looking forward to creating another excuse to return to book the spa suite.

Room Tip: We chose the Sunset Suite which was large, had street frontage with great views (but was quiet) and...

“Welcoming host and excellent accomodation”

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Cottage as it is also known as in November 2011 not knowing what to expect after finding it difficult to get accomodation in York. What a pleasant surprise. We were welcomed by Bronwyn with a lovely afternoon tea and immediately made to feel at home. Also managed to cook our food on her barbecue which was an added bonus as we didn't want to go out to eat that evening.
The room was beautifully set out and we had our own lounge both of which were cosy and most comfortable. The bath was one of the original styles with a very swish look about it.
Given that we are vegetarians Bronwyn had not hesitation in rustling up some yummy pancakes for our breakfast or "anything we wanted". We also met Leanne who is very friendly and hospitable. I wish we could have stayed here longer but will definitely return one day. By the way the patchwork soft furnishing in the bedroom was all the handywork of Bronwyn which one could not fail to admire. All in all one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at in WA.

Room Tip: When choosing a B&B in WA it is the hosts that make or break your stay.
