The rooms are clean. Each has a small flat screen tv. The shower has fantastic pressure. There is no bath.
The A/C was loud but it did the job.
The food was excellent and great value.
The staff are efficient and welcoming.
I would definitely stay again. A great base to explore the nearby wineries.

We really appreciated this place. We spent 2 enjoyable nights here, in order to visit various nearby cellar doors as well as the Naracoorte Caves. The upstairs rooms have lovely high pitched celings, creating a real sense of space, and the sweet wooden balcony overlooks the heritage stone restarant and cottage gardens. Spacious vanity area, and over-sized shower. Nice wooden furniture and bedding: excellent presentation overall. Rainwater tank available for topping up your travel bottles. All staff here are really warm, helpful and professional, and we would happily stay here again.
The only thing that needs attention is the very noisy exhaust fan in the bathroom, which rattles and revs like an plane about to take flight. That tiny but loud matter aside, this is an impressive premises and is priced appropriately for what is on offer. Lovely surroundings too with some great photo opps for lovers of old country buildings.

I stayed here one night whilst doing a 24 hour Coonawarra wine exploration trip. It was a good sized room, comfortable and well looked after. It seemed the lodge goes the extra mile on the little things. A good value experience. Good location to walk into town for breakfast or dinner. It was a thirty plus degree day when here and air con worked well.

our room was spacious and comfortable, and quiet (despite being close to the main street ) the heating worked a treat on a very cold night and we enjoyed the added bonus of an electric blanket. The hotel is a short walk into town along the main road (although this is not well lit at night).

We ate at the Bushman's inn, great value, good service and a declicious meal.
