“Barossa gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

This property is in a beautiful setting that is used for weddings. The owners are new and are extremely helpful . There is a degustation menu with or without wine that is expensive but reasonable based on what you receive. The chef is one of the owners and is very creative. They pour plenty of wine of local vineyards. The breakfast was included and was excellent. I highly recommend this B and B , it is not inexpensive but it is worth the expense.

Room Tip: We stayed in the workshop it was charming

“Hidden gem in the Barossa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed at Collingrove to celebrate his birthday and we were more than happy with everything. Our room was beautifully decorated in a french provincial style, the bed was so comfortable we slept in later than expected on Sunday!
After visiting the nearby Yalumba winery we had dinner at Collingrove and every dish was amazing. Chef Zach's french influence definitely shone through and the Duck and Gnocchi was the best we have ever tasted. A great choice of local Barossa wines was the perfect mix with dinner.
The next morning we had breakfast in the sun on the veranda with the local chooks keeping us company. Overall a very relaxing and comfortable weekend away. We would love to go back with a group of 10 and book out all the rooms and have a dinner party!

Room Tip: Some rooms have a shared bathroom and some have ensuites - check what is available.

“"An amazing experience, the room was luxurious, and the food was delicious"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

I stayed at Collingrove last weekend with my partner, the first thing we did was enjoy a bottle of Barossa Shiraz on the Veranda, I was instantly relaxed. We decided to indulge, and have the seven course degustation that night, I'm so glad we did, the Saltbush Lamb Rack was a highlight, and the entire deg was the best dining experience I can remember having. I thought there's no way I'm going to need breakfast, wrong! how could I say no to crispy bacon and free range local eggs, followed by fresh strawberries and a blood orange fruit platter, yum! The room was inviting, and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. Our hosts, Marci, Andrew and Zach made our stay enjoyable and comfortable, an experience we will never forget.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, I would be happy to stay in any of them!

“Rancho Relaxo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

On a rare couple of days away from our crazy children, we completely relaxed in style at Collingrove. Waking to the sounds of silence in our deliciously cosy bed. Breakfast made to our liking. Our days spent cruising around the wineries close by and eating until we almost popped. The chef is a master of creation. Seriously great food. A family run business where you feel right at home. We only wish we had more opportunities to spend weekends away like that.
