We recently stayed for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We had stayed a couple of times at Walnut Cottage, the cottage right across the road and also owned by Sue, and as we were returning with family wanted a bit more room. Acorn cottage has 3 bedrooms and a lovely sized lounge and kitchen. We made good use of the bbq and spent time sitting outside in the peaceful garden. Both cottages are very well appointed and very clean. The breakfast provisions are plentiful and we enjoyed the wine and homemade baking.
Angaston is a great place to base yourself for visiting the Barossa and Acorn or Walnut Cottage are the perfect places to stay.

Having stayed at many similar types of accommodation both in Australia and overseas we rate Acorn Cottage among the best. Nothing beats a cold winters holidfay better than a glass of wine in front of a warm fire in a wonderfully appointed cottage. Everything we required was provided including plenty of food and a lovely bottle of Red.

Great cottage in a great location.

I echo the previous reviews - Sue has a beautiful, spacious cottage and has provisioned it with wonderful things - we especially enjoyed the wholemeal bread, as well as all the other goodies. Location is excellent, just off the main street, in a lovely town.
Our on;y regret is that we would like to have some friends with us next time to share the experience.
