My partner & I were looking for a quick getaway for New Years Eve, as it was a very last minute decision we were limited to choice, unless we wanted to spend a small fortune! This led us to our stay @ Kooralbyn Hotel & Resort. We had a relaxing 2 night stay. Yes the resort is a bit old & run down looking but for the price we paid I think we got a great deal in a very peaceful setting. One thing I would have liked though would have been a bigger swimming pool - it was quite small & crowded. I have no complaints about our stay & If the pool were larger & more sunloungers I would more then likely return. So if you want to get away from it all & just relax I'd say give Kooralbyn a go.

The area surrounding the Resort is quite nice and scenic but the Resort itself is very 80s. A King Room at a premium price is large with a nice big balcony, but the furnishings are old, using unattractive old potpourri is outdated and the bathroom is very average. A large spa bath is provided but to have two tiny thin towels is not appropriate for a King room. Please give decent towels and at least 3 per room. The room also had an old smell while the bathroom smelled of bleach. Restaurant with the buffet was average for both lunch and dinner. Unlikely to recommend this one until a full refurb is done.
