Normally, we try to avoid motels and stick to the charm of B&B's but since those are in short supply in Gaspe, we decided to believe the reviews on the Motel Plante. Believe them. It's a very clean, efficient and affordable motel with a bit of charm thrown in. Our room was clean and spacious, the kitchen was well provided, we could have cooked a gourmet steak dinner there. All the cutlery and plates are provided.
The beds were large and comfortable and neatly made and the staff were most friendly and helpful.
The main shops, mall and restaurants are just at the foot of the hill, perhaps a 3 minute walk, Timmy's is only another 2 minutes further and the view of the bay is amazing.
While it's just a motel... it's a very good one. Try it, it'll be worth it.
