“Excellent place to stay!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I really enjoyed my "stay-cation" at this hotel. The rooms are spotless, the staff was excellent, and whenever i needed anything, the staff were the first to help. Being close to Crabtree Mall was a real plus because it is within walking distance. I have never felt so safe in a hotel in my life, and I do A LOT of traveling both here and to Europe. I never once felt unsafe going outside during the evening/late night to smoke. The other guests I came upon were extremely nice. I will be sending other friends in town for their little "stay-cations" as well as suggesting this location for traveling friends. When I first saw the price per night, I thought that was really too cheap for the area, but it was really nice!!! I will be coming back!!! OH...the beds...I have NEVER slept sooo good in my LIFE!!

“A clean comfortable place to sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

I found the accomodations quite satisfactory for the price. The room was small but clean with comfortable beds, a microwave and fidge. It obviously had been redecorated/ renovated. The lobby was clearly new. Free internet was also provided. We only partook of the breakfast on our last day. The waffles were surprisingly good. The only criticism I had was that they were stingy with the towels. If you're going to renovate new towels should be included in the budget. If you are on a tight budget as we were I highly recommend this motel.

“Avoid this Scary place!”

AVOID!!!
Run down, scary place!

A car was actually up on blocks in the parking lot of this hotel!

Unsavory characters lurking about in the parking lot and on the grounds, I spent all night looking out the window to make sure my car wasn't being broken into.

This hotel had to have the sorriest continental breakfast ever, no newspaper either.

If it hadn't booked and paid online, i would have stayed somewhere else!

I would like to thank you for taking your time to post a review.

Crabtree area hotels are probably one of the safest in the area. The vehicle parked in the lot was being worked on by a mechanic. I am sorry if that made you uncomfortable. For a mid scale segment we provide the best value in Raleigh.

Our hotel has went thru complete renovation earlier this year. Our Complimentary Breakfast includes fresh Belgian waffles, danishes, muffin, cold and hot cereal, grits, toast, juice etc. Free Wireless Internet and Fitness Center are just few of the amenities guest can enjoy while staying at the Americas Best Value Inn Crabtree Raleigh.

“You get what you pay for.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2009

My trip was for business purposes. The only highlight was the free parking and wi-fi.
The room looked clean, and although I requested a non-smoking room and the room had a non-smoking sign, there was an ashtray in the room with the scent of old cigarettes.
I was not able to get a mini-fridge, microwave or iron as you need to request those in advance. (I requested them 10 days in advance).
I did receive fresh towels daily, but they were quite small and had stains on them.
I was able to get a coffee pot 3 days into my stay. I wasn't provided with filters, coffee or a cup (I needed to get those on my own.)
The hotel website advertised a free hot continental breakfast that does not exist.
The staff was friendly.
The hotel was under renovations and my hallway was littered with metal, dust and tools.
Perhaps after the renovations are complete this will be a better place to stay.
I definitely got what I paid for, and I will be hard pressed to stay in a non-franchised hotel again.
