I'm a mail carrier who lives in Charlotte. But when bad weather sets in, I stay here so that I can get to work in Kannapolis. I love this place, from the extremely welcoming front desk to the great rooms I have slept in. Last time I was there they had a manager's reception with barbeque ribs, chicken wings and wine. I paid the gov't rate and is such a great value. I have stayed at the Comfort Inn across the expressway, but I was not as comfortable. The Hampton Inn, also across the expressway wanted about $50.00 more and the room didn't have a fridge or microwave. They have an indoor pool too, even tho I have never been in it. There is a Wal-Mart shopping center across the parking lot and several restaurants within walking distance - McDonald's, Logan's Roadhouse, Steak N Shake, Bruster's Ice Cream, and on Dale Earnhardt Blvd (around the corner) there's Wendy's, Bojangle's and Cracker Barrel.

We stayed here twice last summer and could not have been happier! We had a whirlpool room, which was wonderful and the rate was really good for how nice the room wasl! Everything was clean and the staff was terrific. The bed was very comfy.

It's right near a stripmall which has a great ice cream place called Brewster's, but overall the area is pretty quiet. We decided not to stay at the other location that 's just a bit up the highway by the speedway exit where the outlet mall is as it's so busy up there. It was nice to have a little space away from all that buzz.

Would definitely stay here again as we were very happy with our stay.

We stayed at this motel for over a week. Overall we liked the motel, but their housekeeping was so slow and barely did any cleaning. After a while we had to clean the rooms ourselves since housekeeping didn't touch anything. The rooms were very nice and clean (at least when you first check in). The laundry room was very dirty and the A/C didn't work in the laundry room. We also started getting bugs (like earwigs) from under the door probably because housekeeping didn't clean everything.
The location is good for the shopping and restaurants in the plaza, but Kannapolis is sort of a scary place. There were also quite a few families with VERY noisy kids. We often couldn't sleep from the screaming kids.
The highway is also very noisy, thankfully the insulated windows keep the noise out, but don't try opening the windows since you will hear every truck passing by like it's right next to you.
On the day we were moving out housekeeping didn't come by at all.
So in the end the room was clean, but only because we cleaned it ourselves. The place is great for short term stay but not more than a few days.

Fine hotel, VERY comfortable bed, good free breakfast. (Could've done with more fruit options, and the eggs weren't great, but the cinnamon rolls were very good and the other options were fine.)
