To get to Max Patch, you have to take dirt and gravel roads that will get your car VERY dirty. Once you reach it, though, it is a fairly short climb to the top of a grassy mountain where you can see for miles. People bring blankets to picnic there as well as frisbees and dogs. This place is accessible no matter what the weather. The hill and the view are what Max Patch is all about. There is nothing else there. There are some National Park Service restrooms here and there along the route. They are usually not very clean. Bring hand sanitizer.
