This place is truly run down. The cabby had trouble finding the hotel because the signage is poor. My room was decent, though the lights from the car dealership across the way meant I had to keep my curtains drawn in order to get any sleep. I could not dial out on my room phone at all. Not very convenient for doing business or staying in touch with the folks back home. I requested to be moved, but even the room they were willing to move me to had no service! Response of staff was nonchalant. Not rude, but not very concerned about my predicament either. I asked to speak to a manager but s/he was "unavailable."
I only stayed here because the Marriott was full (graduation weekend) and I hope I never have to stay here again. Proximity to the American Tobacco Complex is a plus, but the walk there requires going under a highway underpass. Makes you think of the kind of settingyou'd be forced into a car at knifepoint in.
