Having stayed here when it was the Park Hotel, I had expected to be somewhat let-down at the corporate takeover. I was not. While the rooms are now standard Marriott fare, the service was actually well above par. The aforementioned rooms were very comfortable, and that arm chair that I've pictured? Well, I worked on my lap top in that arm chair into the wee small hours of the morning, and let me tell you, that is HANDS DOWN the best Hotel Room Arm Chair ever. Seriously. It warranted it's own picture.

Meeting rooms were nice as well.

I was here for business, but would most likely stay here for SHOPPING in the future--hotel is within walking distance to the excellent South Park mall. There is also an adjoining area of shops with an excellent Italian restaurant.

I do wish to say that while I give this hotel 5 bubbles, it is not actually a 5* property, but it is certainly best in class and best in the area.

Great stay here for 2 weeks ,we also had an office room,staff were super helpful and after 2 weeks we were on first name terms but not in a patronising way,all good here with plenty of eating drinking choices less than 5 mins away-a great place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott South Park. It's right in the heart of South Park and you walk out to lots of nice boutique shops. The restaurant and bar are very cozy and there is a lovely outside dining area. Rooms and service is top notch, really over all a very pleasant place to stay. The price was very reasonable for this kind of ambiance and we will stay here again.

For convenience, you can't beat this Marriott hotel nestled in the Southpark area. If you're going strictly for business in the uptown area, I would recommend another hotel; but, if you have a little time in town this is it. With plenty to do within walking distance and such pretty surroundings, staying here can seem like a mini vacation.
We had some loud knocking noise the first night but apparently it was a heat return issue that they handled the next morning and we didn't hear again.
I think coffee should be available in your room. At the very least if you have to schlep downstairs to get a cup, it ought to be complimentary!
The less than restful first night and not having my coffee right there upon waking keeps me from giving Marriott Southpark the highest score.
