We stayed at this hotel one weekend when the Carolina Hurricanes were playing a pre-season game at the TWC Arena, which is in walking distance. Many people were also in town for the Panthers game, which was also in walking distance. The light rail also has a stop right next door. The location is definitely the best part of the hotel, though there isn't anything particularly wrong with anything else - just nothing outstanding. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The walls are not very thick, however, which we learned when a very "vocal" couple checked in next door.

My one complaint was that we were (graciously) given a late, 2 p.m. check out so my two year old could take his nap in the room before the game, but housekeeping knocked on our door three times between 12 and 2. I told them every time we were granted a late check out. One lady did apologize profusely and said she had even called down to the front desk first (it was a different housekeeper every time). So I guess the front desk clerk who told us it would be ok didn't actually communicate that to the rest of the staff.

We stayed here this weekend on Saturday night to attend the Carolina Panthers Game Sunday. The hotel is very centrally located and the property is in great shape. The room was immaculate, spacious, quiet and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens and towels were great too. We left our car there after check out to go to the game, and it was no problem to pick it up (no extra charge) when we got back after the game.

We stayed here during the Packers game in September. It was exactly what I expected out of a large downtown Hilton - massive hotel, lots of amenities, convenient location, acceptable service & rooms.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was nice. We also had access to the breakfast on the executive floor - it was decent, but nothing to write home about. We had a little problem with noisy neighbors, but one quick call down to the front desk and they had a security guard take care of it right away.

Overall, it was a fine experience. I would recommend for business or pleasure travelers who want to stay downtown.

The Charlotte City Center Hilton is in a great downtown location, near great restaurants and bars. The hotel is large and clean, and the staff engaged and helpful.

I have no complaints, though there is nothing particularly outstanding either. I would have no problem staying here again while on business in Charlotte.
