I had not stayed at this motel for at least 6 years but decided to stay this time as they offered a very good rate in January and they offer a good breakfast and evening meal and drinks. I was not disappointed. My trip involved the uptown area of Charlotte as well as the I-85 exit 49 area so this location turned out to be the best. It put me in close proximity to all the places I planned to visit. I was slightly disappointed to find out that weekend breakfast didn't start until 7 am as I had to be uptown by then and missed brkfst the 1st morning. The evening meal is an assortment of appetizer type foods which satisfy if that is what you want to eat. If you prefer more or something bigger there are plenty of various restaurants close by. The people at the front desk were polite and mostly accomodating. My early wake up call did not come through and I told that evening that it was never put in the computer, but I did get the wake up call the next morning. The room was clean, the shower was pretty good, and the space was very nice. The room had a small fridge, a microwave, plenty of drawer space for clothes, good closet space, 2 extra mirrors. The sink is located outside the shower/toilet area which is something I prefer as it allows for more than 1 person to be getting ready at the same time. The decor is a little dated but nothing was worn or in bad shape. I think this motel just prefers a more traditional and formal look in its furniture, but it was actually nice quality stuff. I'm glad I made the decision to stay there, just wish their rates were that great all year long.
