“Drove Six Hours to Stay Here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

My family and I loved this place. No lie! It was a little far off of the main road (I-85). But that could've been becasue we arrived in Charlotte at 11:30p. The entrance was a little hidden. The driveway was a litle small. The parking lot is a little awkward. Although there were those minor complaints, the location, amenities and hotel rooms made up for the inconvenience.

The hotel is located walking distance from an inside mall. If you're from DC, it reminds you of Tyson's, a pretty upscale selection of stores. But right outside of the hotel doors is an "open market" of sorts. KInd of like Reston Town Center. It was really nice.

The rooms are well appointed. Next time we'll get a suite. The doorway was a little crowded when we setup the pack and play.

The breakfast was fabulous! They had hash and bagel toppers! My husband absolutely loved it. This was the best Hampton Inn's breakfast we ever had.

Staying here could've only been improved by having a spa on site!

Room Tip: We stayed on a high floor by the elevator. With a family of five, you have a lot of luggage! Even th...

“Well kept & friendly”

I stayed here on business every week for about 3 months. The staff is friendly and helpful, even for odd requests like "Where can I find covered parking since it might hail tonight?". Everything works. Business center is well stocked with office supplies. Ask for parking tips because there are places to park that are not immediately obvious. I enjoyed the 100 yd walk to Dean & Deluca's where I could pick anything I wanted to eat and either eat it there or take it back to my hotel room. Safe, upscale location, close to shopping and where I was doing business.

“Best Hampton Inn I've ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Modern high rise in the midst of upscale shops and just down the road from the biggest mall in NC - if that's your thing. Rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet. Better than average breakfast is included. Excellent value.

“The reviews are right...location, location, location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

I stayed here as a result of the reviews here, and except for the higher than normal expense for a Hampton Inn, this place has it all! The location is perfect if you like to shop in exclusive stores, with a few within walking distance. Dean & Deluca is within walking distance along with many nice restaurants and a movie theater. If you want to go to the best mall in the region just hop the free shuttle and they will take you anywhere in the surrounding area, including off-site restaurants.

The room had a southern design motif and nice shower amenities. They offer a nice buffet breakfast as well.

The BEST thing this hotel has going for it is it's location and proximity to the South Park Mall. If you want to get away for the weekend and shop and dine this is the place to stay in South Park. I will stay here often when I want to stay overnight in this area of Charlotte.

“Beautiful and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

My husband and I, along with family and friends, rented several rooms at the Hampton Inn South Park while attending a family wedding just over the border in South Carolina.

Everyone was thrilled with the accommodations, including my 93-year-old aunt (the groom's grandmother), who was placed in a lovely, quiet(!), first floor room, where she had easy access to automobile pick up, as well as to the spacious breakfast room and a gracious lobby. My husband and I were were surprised by the size of our suite, which was an actual one bedroom apartment. We enjoyed entertaining our cousins without their having to be in the middle of our private sleeping and changing space.

The lobby of Hampton Inn South Park, which is beautifully furnished and decorated more like a private club than a standard Hilton/Hampton/etc. hotel, was an appropriate place to congregate before heading out to wedding events. The hotel's breakfast room, which is privately located and opens onto a peaceful garden patio where additonal table seating is available, is also unusually nice. Tables are well spaced for conversation, and are comfortably separated from the buffet area, which is well laid-out and kept with meticulous freshness. The dining area includes a large family dining table, in the middle of the room, where our group felt very much at home.

Service at the Hampton Inn South Park was first rate, as well. Check in and check out were extremely efficient. Staff were always available to answer questions, make recommendations, provide directions, and respond to requests. My husband casually mentioned to the front desk that our bathroom sink was draining slowly. Within the hour, a courteous gentleman appeared to correct the problem.

I highly recommend to the Hampton Inn South Park. As others have mentioned, the Hampton Inn South Park incorporates the usual Hampton features, such as very comfortable beds, speedy WiFi, and included hot breakfast, with unexpected space and elegance. I cannot imagine that anyone would regret choosing this hotel.

Room Tip: Very nice shopping and dining nearby. Easy access to major roads and airport.
