There is a lot more Boone than my last visit about 20 years ago! This is a very busy place-lots of traffic, lots of choices-confusing streets/highways. This Comfort Suites is slightly above average overall, friendly-helpfull personnel, slightly dated facility with very limited parking. The room was also slightly above average, cleaning not above average, cost well above.

Room tip: Third floor and above, on back side away from street was quieter.

When I spend 114.00 a night for a room. I don't want to find mold in my the shower. I don't want to see where the previous shower rod was hung. They left the holes from the previous shower rod and the wall anchors sticking out of the holes. It looked ugly! The wall paper was starting to peel from the wall. I will pick another hotel on my next stay.

Thank you for your candid feedback. I am very sorry to hear that your stay at the hotel was not up to par. We are in the early stages of a renovation to be completed in the Spring of next year. We hope that you'll give us another opportunity on a future visit to Boone.

Rooms are being remodeled and we apparently checked into one (208) that had not been done yet. The sleeping area was clean and the bed comfortable. The bath was a mess. Peeling wall paper that was stapled back to the wall. Mildew in numerous places. The hotel faces a busy street so traffic noise was a problem all night, as well as footsteps above us.
We were seriously considering checking out, but Adrianna was extremely helpful and moved us to another room (319) immediately. If you are a light sleeper, request a room on the top floor and in the back of the hotel.
Breakfast is served in a small area, but had a nice selection of foods. Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, muffins, etc.

Room tip: Request a newly remodeled room on the top floor and in the back, away from the traffic noise.

The lobby of this property looks like a hunting lodge with a big fireplace, a deer or elk head mounted above it, and plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas on which to relax. Spacious room with frig, wet bar, microwave and a sofa that really wasn’t all that comfy. Everything about this hotel was positive except, perhaps, the hard sofa but it was at least a place to sit other than the bed. On Tuesday and Wednesday evening starting at 5:30 PM, the manager hosts a complimentary hospitality reception in the breakfast area which is located on the second level overlooking the lobby and fireplace. Beer, wine, soft drinks, were available. In addition, on the evening we were there a big pot of meaty chili was served along with chips and salsa and other snacks. Highly recommend this hotel. Also, we were informed that beginning this November, bathrooms and carpeting will be updated throughout the hotel.

Room tip: Later this year, inquire about updated rooms.

During our trip to North Carolina we did a side trip up to Blowing Rock and Boone. We were looking for a mountain experience and we found it up there along the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We choose the Comfort Suites because we like Choice Privileges Hotels and this Comfort Suites was a good choice for us. It was clean and quiet and the breakfast was very good.

Room tip: Because of it's location, I don't think there is a bad room in the hotel. The rooms in the back would be the quietest, but the setting is conducive to less street noise.
