“GREAT PLACE GREAT STAFF VERY CLEAN”

I must say I have read some of these reviews and am amazed at what some negative people say about this resort. Our family has been going here for 16 years and has always had a great experience. We have never ever heard any noise from neighbors in any of the five different buildings we have stayed in. Our jacuzzi in the master bath in building 5 was big enough for two adults and 2 children in their swim suits. All the staff we have ever had, knew exactly the directions to where we wanted to go. Also this is not a hotel, (thank goodness) so staff does not need to bring you paper towels in the middle of the night as one reviewer complained about. If this reviewer wanted paper towels they should have planned ahead and either drove to the clubhouse to get them or either got in their car and went to either one of the nearby grocery stores. We have never in 16 years had any problem with any of the mattresses. They slept great!

“Mountain Top Experience”

Blue Ridge Village is a wonderful retreat. If you need time away from the hustle and bustle this is the place to go. The rooms are warm and cozy, the staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a wide variety of adventures awaiting you in Banner Elk or it can be a quiet place to just think, pray, and be. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a highway of fun, hiking, and spectacular views that take your breath away. Boone and Blowing Rock are not very far away if shopping is more to your taste. We vacation there as often as we can (2 or 3 times per year). If you get the chance to go, grab it. Donna H.

Room Tip: We haven't stayed in anything we didn't like. We have been in buildings 12, 8, 5, 4.

“Family ski trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

This is our third time staying at BRV. We absolutely love it. The units are large and well-stocked. They are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. They addressed the only issue we had-a slow draining shower in the downstairs bath-the very same day. We had a two bedroom, so there were three tvs, a plus to keep family harmony. The units are centrally located for the three ski hills in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for remodeled rooms.

Blue ridge is a class A resort. I highly recomend building 11. My family felt real secure with the security provided. Perfect location, just minuets from main attractions. Will definantly go back. Everything was provided to make our stay as convient as possiable.

“had good time”

Had older unit but it actually was not a problem because I felt it fit with the environment of the mountains.....VERY CLEAN, the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The other reviews stated very thin walls and can hear neighbors, this is true. We had people above us and heard footsteps all the time, but got used to it after awhile. Staff was pleasant. Close to Sugar Mountian and Hawksnest....so many activities to do on the property, except in the winter :( will def. try to come in the summer. They have a pond for fishing and paddle boats, play ground, putt putt. Great indoor pool! Def recommend this place!
