“Impressed”

Our 4th stay in 10 years and just as good as every othertime.

Cleanliness and maintenance are obviously high on the managers agenda as it is as clean and spotless as the first time we stayed, if not better.

Foxtel is a welcome addition too.

We were in a rear unit this time, I would recommend asking for a front villa as they seem a little more spacious and have a nice outdoor area out the front, the rear villa we were in had only a courtyard out the back with very little sunshine.

The villas are modern, spacious (infact my own townhouse in Perth is no bigger), private and just a great relaxing base.

The pool area is great, clean, quiet.. And heated!

The communal BBQ is spotless.

Blue Ocean Villas are a credit to their managers. I would recommend them to everyone.

Such brilliant value for money. Nothing to fault.
Love it!

“Awesome action packed time”

We stayed in Kalbarri during the middle of March 2010 and what more can I say that's not in the title?

Well to start with I will comment on our accomodation, we went for self catering at the Blue Ocean Villas and really glad we did, they were spotlessly clean, had all the utensils etc that we would need and all the home comforts you could ask for. Didn't have the greatest selection of tv channels but who cares, I mean who really goes there to watch tv? It was also pretty huge, especially when it was just two of us staying! The pool was also well kept although we didn't spend that much time there!

Next up activities: the first we went on was the quad biking at kalbarri safari tours and had a great time! We had a real good blast around the bush and would easily go back for a longer tour.

Secondly was a day with kalbarri adventure tours, where we went and saw the loop and z bend before embarking on a pretty tough trek down the gorges before going for a paddle in a canoe. Great experience but be warned it was really hot (for us Scots anyway) but the tour guide made it really good fun!

Last but not least was horse riding at the big river ranch, now I ain't no cowboy but the the instructors took it really easy to start off with and we were even up to a canter by the end. Great fun and would definately do it again!

The rest of the time we relaxed at the beautiful beach in Kalbarri, and ate at a few of the restaraunts including finlays fish bbq which I reckon is a must see but go with an open mind. The place that we ate most as we found it the best would have to be the grass tree, recommend it to everyone, and get there for sunset and it's pretty spectacular.

To sum it up we had a great time there and if we are ever in WA again there is every chance we would make the effort to go back, and although it's probably handier if you have a car, we managed fine without!

“The best you will get in Kalbarri”

If you are looking for quality then this is the place to stay. It has got all you will need, a small but welcome pool, a BBQ area but best of all superb rooms. Everything was spot on, very clean with full cooking facl., a couple of TV's, no noise from next door to worry about, what more could you ask for. We stayed for 4 nights and but for the long trip from Perth it was ideal for us as a base to explore the area.
Only slight downside to the whole trip up the west side of the country was the petrol prices, but still better than the UK!
There where just the two of us, for a family you would be hard pressed to beat the Blue Ocean Villa's. Top marks from us, and we are fussy!!

“Great self-contained accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2009

We stayed at Blue Ocean Villas (in the spa villa) for 7 nights. We took our children, a 3 1/2 year old and a 6 month old with us and chose self contained accommodation because we would need a proper kitchen. The Villas are located right near the water and the IGA supermarket which is very useful. Unfortunately while we were in Kalbarri the weather was extremely wet and we did not get to see much of the sights, however this meant we spent a lot of time in our villa, it was comfortable, very clean - though the villas are not serviced - the furniture was nice and it was overall very spacious. The spa itself was enormous and I actually felt guilty filling it with water, being in Australia and all, so I only used it twice. The one thing I want to mention that was a negative for us was that the 2nd bedroom is up a staircase and as our daughter is only young we were worried she might fall down the stairs at night if she was trying to get to us, so my husband and I ended up sleeping in seperate rooms the entire week. A highchair and a cot were provided for us which was very handy. I would return to Blue Ocean Villas if we go to Kalbarri again in the future.
